Crime Prevention Connection

The Desert Hot Springs Police Department is dedicated to providing the best law enforcement service possible, and strives to serve our community through various programs to keep our area a safe and enjoyable place in which to live, work and play. Because our department is committed to your safety and well being, we look forward to every opportunity to build positive relationships within our community. To that end, we are pleased to announce a new crime prevention education program called the Crime Prevention Connection.

The Crime Prevention Connection Newsletter will be your monthly guide to current crime prevention topics, safety tips and issues, important crime events that occur in our community, along with upcoming activities involving our department members.

We firmly believe that by providing consistent crime prevention education to our community, we can help you learn how to keep your family, homes and property safe and keep crime and the fear of crime at bay in Desert Hot Springs.

We are very excited to be able to unveil this new program, which will enhance the opportunities our department members have to serve our community. With article topics ranging from hot crime trends, to regular features such as “Home Security 101,” we know you will be able to avoid becoming a victim of many crimes, and will be able to contact the police department to let us know if someone or some group is attempting to take advantage of our community members.

If you have questions about the Crime Prevention Connection, please feel free to contact our Community Resource Specialist Jim Knabb at 760-329-6411 Ext. 340, or by e-mail at jknabb@dhspd.com.

As always, I look forward to your comments and suggestions about the Crime Prevention Connection or any of our other community education and outreach programs.
