The Youth Violence & Gang Intervention Ad-Hoc Committee is comprised of two members of the City Council and three members of the Public Safety Commission. Committee Members are:

Carolina Vasquez (Public Safety Commission)
Staff Representative: Police Commander, Ken Peary
The Ad-Hoc Committee meets at 6:00 P.M. on the first Monday of every month for a period of 12 months. The focus of the Ad Hoc Committee will be to work together on gang intervention best practices and to collaborate on intervention/prevention outreach programs, working in partnership with local nonprofit agencies, ministerial groups and county agencies that will provide services and resources to our gang population. The Ad Hoc Committee will report its findings and recommendations to the City Council.
Meetings are held at the Carl May Community Center, 11-711 West Drive, Desert Hot Springs.
