NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing to consider Conditional Use Permit No. 22-12.
CASE(S): Conditional Use Permit No. 22-12
LOCATION: The project is located at 65128 Palomar Lane, East of Little Morongo Road and South of San Gorgonio Lane in the I-L (Light Industrial) zone (APN: 665-040-017).
APPLICANT/REPRESENTATIVE: David Palmer on behalf of Desert Grow, LLC
PROPOSAL: The applicant has filed an Amendment to CUP 03-17 to decrease the original building footprint from a two (2) story 22,000 square foot building to a single story 6,512 square foot building for cannabis uses as well as associated parking, and other related improvements.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION On July 5, 2017, The City Council approved the permanent project/development (formerly known as Desert Grow, LLC) cultivation project and in doing so certified the Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Project. Pursuant to Section 15162(a) of the CEQA regulations, once an MND has been certified for a project, no subsequent environmental review needs to be completed unless there are substantial changes in the project that warrant additional review. The planning commission only needs to make a finding that the request for an amendment is consistent with the original MND, and no further analysis is required.
On September 13th, 2022, the Planning Commission, at the public hearing or during deliberation, may approve, deny, or propose changes to the project or to the environmental determination.
INTERESTED PERSONS MAY be heard or written comments may be submitted prior to the Public Hearing(s). Written comments will be made a part of the public record. If you challenge this matter in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Desert Hot Springs, at or prior to, the public hearing.
All information regarding the proposed project is available for public review by appointment at the City of Desert Hot Springs City Hall, 11999 Palm Drive, during regular business hours (Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
