The City of Desert Hot Springs is pleased to announce two upcoming FREE community CERT training events, funded by the State Homeland Security Grant.
The City applied for the grant in 2019, and was awarded $4,266 in funding to offer two CERT (Community Emergency Response Training) classes to the community free of charge.
CERT training is an initiative by FEMA (The Federal Emergency Management Agency) intended to help citizens in assisting professional first responders during an emergency or disaster. Skills covered include introductory first aid skills, radio instruction basics, search and rescue strategies, and other topics specific to our local area.
Stay tuned to the City website for dates of the classes and additional details.
