The City of Desert Hot Springs is thrilled to welcome the new Grocery Outlet store, set to open on Palm Drive on Thursday, July 16 at 8 am.
Grand opening celebrations will be limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
However, today, July 14, Mayor Scott Matas visited owners Albert Garcia and Lorraine Limon to present them with an official Certificate of Recognition from the City and to safely tour the new facility.
Garcia and Limon were proud to share that their new employees are 100% local.
Employees can benefit from schedule flexibility, gym membership discounts, and a bonus structure pending inventory results.
Grocery Outlet Desert Hot Springs boasts an extensive Home & Beauty section, with toiletries, basic apparel, and home goods.
They also have their own vitamin line.
Nationwide, Grocery Outlet is known for their organic offerings, and Garcia and Limon said that such products are important to them as well. The NOSH aisle is stocked full with healthy options.
The produce section was already full with fresh produce from OK Produce, a Fresno-based company that has offered superior California produce since 1950.
Grocery Outlet Desert Hot Springs also has a coffee grinder on site.
There are extensive wine, liquor, and craft beer offerings.
Grocery Outlet offers "Hero Cards" to veterans and first responders. Anyone showing a "Hero Card" gets $3 off their tab, every time.
There is also Veterans Parking and Family Parking right next to the front door.
Grocery Outlet will be open seven days a week. Visit their website for more information and discounts.
