NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing to consider Conditional Use Permit No. 22-18 an Amendment to previously approved Conditional Use Permit No. 07-17.
CASE(S): Conditional Use Permit No. 22-18
LOCATION: The project is located on the south-east corner of Little Morongo Road and Palomar Lane and within the General Plan Light Industrial (I-L) Zone. The site is composed of 5 vacant parcels totaling 3.69 gross acres (APN 665-050-001, 002, 003, 004, 006).
APPLICANT/REPRESENTATIVE: Din Cultivation
PROPOSAL: The applicant has filed an application for architectural changes and minor changes to the floor plan within the Light Industrial Zone.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: On July 18th, 2017, the City Council approved the Din Cultivation Project and in doing so adopted the Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Project. Pursuant to Section 15162(a) of the CEQA regulations, once an MND has been adopted for a project, no subsequent environmental review needs to be completed unless there are substantial changes in the project that warrant additional review. The Planning Commission only needs to make a finding that the request for an amendment is consistent with the original MND, and no further analysis is required.
On August 09th, 2022, the Planning Commission, at the public hearing or during deliberation, may approve, deny, or propose changes to the project or to the environmental determination.
INTERESTED PERSONS MAY be heard or written comments may be submitted prior to the Public Hearing(s). Written comments will be made a part of the public record. If you challenge this matter in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Desert Hot Springs, at or prior to, the public hearing.
All information regarding the proposed project is available for public review by appointment at the City of Desert Hot Springs City Hall, 11999 Palm Drive, during regular business hours (Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
