Notice of Public Hearing and Environmental Determination
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing to consider Development Permit No. 22-1.
CASE(S): Development Permit No. 22-1
LOCATION: The project site is located on the north side of Pierson Blvd east of Karen Road within the Skyborne Residential Subdivision/Specific Plan
APPLICANT/REPRESENTATIVE: Lennar Homes, LLC
PROPOSAL: The applicant has filed an application to develop an additional 108 new single-family homes within Village 2 in Tract 32030-2.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: In accordance with the provisions of the Pursuant to Section 15162(a) of the CEQA regulations, once an EI
R has been certified for a project, no subsequent environmental review needs to be completed unless there are substantial changes in the project that warrant additional review. The Planning Commission only needs to make a finding that the proposed development of the 79 additional homes is consistent with the original EIR and that no further analysis is required. The City has determined that the proposed project is consistent with the approved specific plan and the Certified EIR.
On April 12, 2022, the Planning Commission, at the public hearing or during deliberation, may recommend approval, deny, or propose changes to the project or to the environmental determination.
INTERESTED PERSONS MAY appear and be heard, or written comments may be submitted prior to the Public Hearing(s). Written comments will be made a part of the public record. If this matter should at some future date go to court, court testimony may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Desert Hot Springs, at or prior to, the public hearing.
All information regarding the proposed project is available for public review at the City of Desert Hot Springs City Hall, 11999 Palm Drive during regular business hours (Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
