Posted on June 7, 2023

About CODe On The Road

The goal of the CODe program is to provide students with FREE enriching experiences that will enhance technical knowledge and skill, and help inspire participants towards higher education and careers in technology. Summer 2023 participants will enjoy week-long CyberCamp sessions learning about Cyber Security from experienced COD professors and Computer Information (CIS) students.

  • Air Force Association’s (AFA) CyberCamps are designed for ANYONE 10 and over who is interested in cybersecurity or who have cybersecurity knowledge and want to learn more.
  • Standard sessions are intended for those with little to no experience in Cyber Security. Middle School aged children and above are invited to apply.
  • Advanced sessions are for those who are interested in pursuing an education in Cyber Security at their high school or at the College of the Desert’s CIS Program.
  • Participants that complete the Advanced CyberCamp will be invited to participate in CyberPatriot competitions in the fall.
  • You can register for one or both, Standard and Advanced, sessions.
  • Participants will listen to advice from COD faculty and students about the benefits of higher education and careers in the field.
  • Lunch will be provided!
  • All FREE, no joke. Special thanks for their support and sponsorship to our College President, Dra. Martha Garcia, the COD Foundation, and the Coachella Valley Unified School District (CVUSD).
