NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Desert Hot Springs will conduct a Public Hearing to consider “AN EXTENSION OF URGENCY INTERIM ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DESERT HOT SPRINGS ADOPTING A MORATORIUM ON THE ISSUANCE OF ANY LICENSE, PERMIT, OR ENTITLEMENT THAT IS A USE OTHER THAN THE ONES LISTED IN THIS ORDINANCE FOR ANY BUSINESS LOCATED IN THE COMMERCIAL BUSINESS PARK (C-BP) ZONING DISTRICT ALONG HIGHWAY 62 BETWEEN NORTH INDIAN CANYON DRIVE AND INTERSTATE 10.”
CASE(S): Extension of Urgency Interim Ordinance of the City Council for the Subject Area (along Highway 62 between North Indian Canyon Drive and Interstate 10) for the City of Desert Hot Springs

APPLICANT/REPRESENTATIVE: City initiated
PROPOSAL: Extension of Urgency Interim Ordinance for the Subject Area zoned C-BP (Commercial Business Park). The Proposed Ordinance will provide Staff time to evaluate the subject area to determine proper uses to comply with the Strategic Plan goals set forth by the City Council. The Proposed Ordinance will eliminate certain uses that conflict with that vision.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The adoption of this ordinance is categorically exempt from environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15061(b)(3) because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the adoption of this Ordinance in question may have a significant effect on the environment.
INTERESTED PERSONS MAY be heard at or during the public hearing, or written comments may be submitted prior to or during the Public Hearing(s). Written and oral comments will be made a part of the public record. If you challenge this matter in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Desert Hot Springs, at or prior to, the public hearing.
All information regarding the proposed project is available for public review by appointment at the City of Desert Hot Springs City Hall, 11999 Palm Drive, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240, during regular business hours (Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
